Afton Apple Orchard

Strawberry season starts approximately the second week in June to approximately July 4-8. We will be open 7 days a week from 7am to 7 pm, weather permitting. Always call for an update on picking conditions or any changes in hours before coming to pick berries. Apple picking season starts early August, and we normally are able to pick pretty close to the end of October. Fall Raspberry season begins early August and goes until about mid-October, unless we get a hard freeze. Usually later in the week is better for picking because of the heavy picking on weekends. Always call for picking conditions before coming to pick berries. Pumpkin picking season starts the last weekend in September and goes through October. We have mini-pumpkins, pie pumpkins, small jack-o-lanterns, medium pumpkins and very large pumpkins. We also have gourds, several varieties of squash and ornamental decorating corn - small and large. Hayrides into the orchard for picking (or just for fun!) start Labor Day weekend, including Labor Day. They run on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 6pm and Monday-Friday from 3pm to 6pm. We are still open for apple picking during the weekdays. The weekdays are a little quieter for picking. Please call for information or directions. Our HUGE corn maze will be opening on Saturday, September 13th, 2008. There are over 6 miles of twists and turns to boggle both the extra sharp and the directionally challenged minds!
