Where can you enjoy an ice cream while sitting on a porch that overlooks a beautiful creek and watch alpacas lounging in a pool? Long Branch Alpacas & General Store can offer just that and more. Located just south of Hohenwald off highway 48, the general store has an Eighteen Foot Ice Cream & Shaved Ice Bar made from authentic Jack Daniel's Barrels. With 6 flavors of ice cream and 57 flavors of shaved ice everyone should be able to find their favorites. Hot Dogs, Nachos and fresh popcorn available. Friday and Saturdays come set up at the Flea Market. Bring your table and chair and sell your treasures. Every Sunday join us for an old fashion Ice Cream Social with 10% of the proceeds to benefit a different church and non-profit organization in Lewis County. Our store also has genuine alpaca products including yarn, stuffed animals, scarves, sweaters, blankets, and novelties. Antiques, Amsoil and Watkins products are also available. The back porch is the perfect place for your organization’s meetings. Step back in time and experience the old time General Store with some modern day conveniences. Special events throughout the year will be planned such as the 1st Annual Rockhouse Creek Duck Race to benefit the local 4-H. Scheduled October 14th. Stop by and pick out the "fastest" duck and help the local 4-H. Look for our newest additions; Wild Bill and Hilary are Boer Goats. They are as cute as can be. We anticipate adding to our herd over the next few months. We are building a goat bridge attraction. Come watch them play in the "playground". All "Kids" are welcome. We are putting together our field trip program for schools and other organizations. We are developing programs about Alpacas, Llamas and Boer Goats as well local history.
