Shenandoah Vineyards was established in 1977 by Leon and Shirley Sobon and stands as one of the pioneering wineries in Amador County's renowned Shenandoah Valley region. Beginning with a modest offering of 1,200 cases, our winery now produces approximately 20,000 cases annually. This growth is a testament to our expertise in winemaking, strategic marketing, and unwavering family commitment to exceptional quality and service. Our wines benefit from the rich, estate-grown grapes sourced from vineyards that are farmed sustainably.

The majority of our grapes are grown on our estate and benefit from the careful care that comes with sustainable farming. We choose vineyard spots with ideal micro-climates and soils, ensuring each grape variety thrives. Located at the highest elevations within the Shenandoah Valley, our non-irrigated vineyards yield fewer grapes, but they are of exceptional quality. Our family is dedicated to crafting wines that are rich and full-flavored while respecting the environment.
