Van Ruiten Family Winery

Van Ruiten Family Winery is situated in Lodi, California, nestled between the Sierra Foothills and the San Francisco Bay. The estate's vineyards are renowned for producing exceptional Lodi Zinfandel, benefiting from the optimal climate created by the San Joaquin Delta's cooling afternoon breezes. Historically, the Lodi region often resembled an inland sea due to seasonal rain and snowmelt, leading to flood drainage and the formation of nutrient-rich, well-draining soils.

For more than 65 years, the Van Ruiten vineyards have been harvesting and transporting Lodi grapes to other wineries. In 1999, we ventured into winemaking, launching our first Van Ruiten wine varieties. Among our earliest creations is the Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz blend, which remains a popular choice. Our Old Vine Zinfandel and Lodi Chardonnay are also highly regarded. Our wines can be sampled daily at the Lodi Tasting Room from 11 am to 5 pm.
